Corn Arepa Filled With Mozarella Cheese
A grilled cake of precooked maize flour, split and filled with mozzarella. The dough is masarepa mixed with water and salt, cooked on a griddle until it sets.
Origin
An arepa of Colombia and Venezuela, filled with cheese.
Flavour
Toasted maize around mild, milky cheese.
How to use it
Heat it through so the cheese softens, and eat it while it is hot.
Storage
Refrigerate and reheat on a dry pan. The dough dries out in the fridge.
