Orange Juice

The pressed juice of oranges, Citrus sinensis. Fresh juice is just that. Long-life juice is pasteurised, and concentrate is juice with the water removed and added back.

Origin

Pressed where oranges are grown, especially in subtropical orchards.

Flavour

Sweet-acid and aromatic when fresh.

How to use it

Drink it, or use it in marinades and cakes. Heat dulls the fresh aroma.

Storage

Refrigerate fresh juice and drink it quickly. Unopened long-life cartons follow their date.
