Native to the south-central United States and northern Mexico, and cultivated in similar climates.
Flavour
Sweet, buttery, and mild.
How to use it
Toast them for pies, salads, and pralines. They burn at a lower heat than they look.
Storage
Refrigerate or freeze. The oil turns stale at room temperature.
