Rapeseed Oil

Oil pressed from the seeds of rapeseed, Brassica napus. The food-grade oil is bred and refined to be low in erucic acid, the same family of oil sold as canola.

Origin

A major cool-climate oilseed crop, especially in Europe and Canada.

Flavour

Neutral when refined, with a light cabbage-seed note if cold-pressed.

How to use it

Use refined oil for general cooking. Use cold-pressed oil in dressings.

Storage

Cool, dark, and sealed.
