Stout

A very dark beer brewed with roasted malt or roasted barley, so the colour and the bitter edge come from the grain. Hops and yeast finish the brew.

Developed in the British Isles, especially Ireland and London, and now brewed widely.

Roasted, bitter, and a little sweet, from dry to creamy.

Drink it, or stew beef, oysters, or gingerbread in it.

Storage

Store bottles cool and upright. Refrigerate after opening.
