Sweet Peppadew Peppers

Small sweet piquanté peppers, pickled in a sweet brine. The pepper is a mild Capsicum, and the jar is as much about the syrup as the fruit.

Origin

The pickled pepper was commercialised in South Africa and is now packed widely.

Sweet, tangy, and gently hot.

How to use it

Eat them from the jar, or chop them into salads and cream cheese.

Storage

Refrigerate after opening, in the brine.
