Oil scented with truffle. Some bottles are infused with pieces of real truffle. Many take their aroma from an aroma compound that copies the smell of truffle.

A modern flavouring oil, sold alongside real truffles, which are underground fungi.
Flavour
Intensely earthy and musky. A few drops fill a dish.
How to use it
Finish a dish with it. Do not use it as the cooking oil. Heat drives the smell off and can make it harsh.
Storage
Cool and dark, tightly capped.
