Porridge oats
Oat groats that have been steamed and rolled flat so they cook into porridge. The whole oat grain is still there, bran included.

Origin
Oats are a cool-climate cereal, long grown in northern Europe and now elsewhere.
Flavour
Soft, milky, and slightly sweet.
How to use it
Simmer them in water or milk for porridge, or bake them into crumbles and biscuits.
Storage
Airtight and cool. They keep for months and taste stale once the oils fade.
